Twiztid
Twiztid began as a 3 member Detroit based rap group called House of Krazees (or HOK). Jamie Madrox was then known as Mr. Bones and Monoxide Child was known as Hektik. The other member of the group was called R.O.C., who did almost all of the production on HOK's albums. HOK was a talent pool, with flow that stimulated the mind, and lyrics deep enough to provoke suicide. HOK made several albums, until the group finally broke up. R.O.C tried to keep HOK together by inducting a guy named Skrapz, forming a revised HOK, and releasing a CD called "They Night They Came Home." After this album the name House Of Krazees was dropped and R.O.C. took the name SOL, and formed HaLFBReeD with Skrapz. While all this was going on, Twiztid had already been formed on their new label, Psychopathic. with the aid of label-mates the Insane Clown Posse and producer Mike E. Clark, Twiztid released their first CD "Mostasteless." Mostasteless was originally sold in small quantities, but did well for an underground release. Island/Def Jam took notice of Twiztid, and re-released Mostasteless on their label. This time the album took off, and sold very well. Twiztid was on the road to success. They toured with ICP on the Amazing Jeckel Brothers and Wicked Clowns From Outer Space tours, making juggalos aware of who they were. by late 1999, Twiztid was ready to get out of ICP's shadow and become bigger then they were. With the small venues "Rock The Dead" tour, audiences grew immensely. With there 2nd release "Freek Show", the group had already established a name for themselves, with coverage in magazines such as A.P. and Murder Dog, and their Mockumentory video Born Twiztid: Beyond The Freek Show. Twiztid's first video "We Don't Die" was aired on The Box Music Network, much in the fashion of ICP. Twiztid grew from a nothing career, into a marvel of a group.
